Needle Felting: Painting with Wool

$65.00

November 8, 2025
1:00 - 3:30 pm

Instructor: Morgan Loeffler

Explore the foundational techniques of needle felting with Morgan Loeffler of ML Felts! Shape and sculpt fibers into unique designs and build your knowledge of the materials, tools, and methods of needle felting.

Using woolen roving and a barbed needle, students will learn the foundational techniques of “painting” with felt—layering and blending fibers to form images and patterns on a flat surface. Needle felting is a meditative and expressive process that offers a unique way to explore color, texture, and composition.

No prior experience is necessary! This class is designed for all skill levels. By the end of the session, students will have created their own felted piece and will leave with the skills and confidence to continue needle felting independently.

All materials are provided, including foundational bases to create ornaments and display objects. Students are invited to choose between woolen balls and embroidery hoops as base structures for their designs. Each student will take home a needle felting kit (felting pad and needles) to support ongoing explorations in felt!

This class is open to students ages 16+
Skill Level: 1-5, all levels welcome.

Limited scholarship funding is available for this class. To apply for financial aid, please fill out our Scholarship Application.
